The Newport St George’s day committee are to hold their 11th St George’s day celebrations in Newport High Street on Saturday 19th April 2024
The day is a free event which includes The Mile of Coins which aims to raise £1000 for local charities, starting at 9.30am,
Saturday 20th April.
From 10.00 am.
Mile of Cash.
Punch & Judy.
Morris Dancers.
Face Painter.
Children's floor drawings.
Dragon Sausages.
St George's Buns.
Charlie's Disco.
Balloon Man.
From 12pm. Procession and dragon slaying. (Road closed 12-1pm.)
Free event. Come on down!
Face Painter, Punch and Judy and Shrewsbury Morris Dancers from 11am.
Entertainment to be confirmed, plus a procession from 12pm followed by a live dragon slaying at 12.15pm, Free tasters of Dragon Sausages and St Georges Buns, street buskers, Juggling Jim and his St George puppets and more. Free parking in Newport too! A fun day for the family.
Please note Newport High Street is closed from 12pm-1.15pm!!
