Newport's Through the Garden Gate event is on 7th July and gives you a chance to peek behind the gates of some interesting town and countryside private local gardens and allotments. 10.30am - 4pm.
Two new gardens, having never been open to the public before, now offer up their secrets, while some popular favourites will delight us once more. All are unique, some offering historical features, some with ponds and streams and all offering inspiration and ideas. The gardeners will be there to offer tips and advice, with some offering refreshments, raffles, plant sales and other fundraising activities.
There will be lunches, tea, cakes and plant sales at some of the gardens. All proceeds go to Newport in Bloom to help raise funds for the floral displays in the town. Tickets £6, under 16's free (Guide dogs Only) and are available from;
