Telford Theatre are delighted to launch the Kindness Ticket for the third year running giving people the opportunity to offer the gift of pantomime and in 2024 they will once again be donated to care leavers and their families in Telford and Wrekin borough.
Kindness Tickets are on sale at £20 for a family ticket and can be purchased online at www.telfordtheatre.com or contacting the Box Office on 01952 382370.
The tickets will be distributed to care leavers and their families through Telford & Wrekin Council’s Leaving Care Team who support vulnerable young people aged from 16 to 25 that have been in the care system from Telford and Wrekin.
The young people have often experienced significant trauma, have no family support network, live independently from a young age and do not have the finances to be able to do a lot of the things young people living with their families take for granted.
Cllr Angela McClements - Cabinet Member for Leisure, Tourism, Culture & the Arts said:
“Following the amazing success of the last two years which has seen a fantastic response by the public we are once again launching the Kindness Ticket as a way for people to support vulnerable groups in the borough.
Christmas is a special time of year but not all people are able to enjoy it due to financial or family circumstances and this gift of pantomime is just one way that care leavers are able to be part of this festive tradition. I would like to thank all who make this generous gift possible.”
Goldilocks and the Three Bears runs at Telford International Centre from Tuesday 17 December to Thursday 2 January 2025.
The pantomime is being hosted at Telford International Centre this year whilst the theatre building in Oakengates undergoes a major refurbishment project.
