Scherzando Strings was formed by well-known Newport violinists Sue Harris and William Pickering in 2012. We have played as a violin duo in concerts, for charity events, parties and weddings throughout the West Midlands and beyond. We are joined by friends to form Scherzando String Trio and Scherzando String Quartet.

We love to play a wide range of music from all things classical to modern pop covers, folk, music from the shows , from TV and Film as well as Disney!

Scherzando Strings have played in many of the most prestigious venues in the County including Weston Park, Hodnet House, Rowton Castle, Ludlow Castle, Davenport House, Haughton Hall. Goldstone Hall as well as outside venues such as Fordhall Farm and Cheswell Grange and private houses and gardens. 

Whatever your event, we can provide the perfect programme of relaxing, enjoyable music played by highly skilled professional musicians with many years’ experience between them.
