Welcome
In this month’s issue, we hear from RVS Newport
Helpline. A service that provides friendly and
inexpensive transport to appointments as well as
shopping for any residents of Newport and the
surrounding area who are unable to drive.
‘People and Places - Cookshop Newport’, celebrated
it official opening by Newport Mayor Tim Nelson
with an Open Day, which included special offers,
demonstrations and a charity raffle, with proceeds
going to Macmillan Cancer Support.
It’s time to start thinking of gift ideas for Christmas.
We’ve handpicked a selection of ideas from
Newport’s independent retailers on pages 30-31.
Please get in touch. It’s the often untold, local
stories from past or present, that readers are finding
‘informative, educational and often entertaining’.
