The great Bill Shankly famously said: “Some people
believe football is a matter of life and death. I am very
disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.”
Judging by the top end prices for the deluxe edition
of the latest FIFA installment, the gaming public
agrees with Mr Shankly’s sentiment.
Priced from £39.99 to a whopping £79.99, FIFA
16 has everything players enjoyed from previous
incarnations of the footy game with some great
new additions, including for the first time women’s
national teams. Playability is better than ever too,
with improvements aplenty. Defend better, with
greater agility and working as a unit. Tackling is now
more rewarding, midfield control more intuitive and
interception more intelligent. Passing has become
more precise, with fabulous crossing and dummies
adding to the realism. As for the more expensive
versions of the game, what do you get as an incentive.
