The night the Proms
came to Gnosall
About:
Saturday 10th October was a night
to remember in Gnosall when in
excess of 80 people were treated
to the most amazing evening of
music and singing courtesy of the
brilliant Rugeley Power Station
Band and Stafford’s own Military
Wives Choir.
The evening commenced with
the the Rugeley Power Station
Band opening with a very lively
and diverse programme of music
from Colonel Bogey through to
Pirates of the Caribbean, all of
which got the Hall rocking and the
enthusiastic audience responding
with gusto.
They were followed onto the stage
by the Military Wives Choir from
Strafford , resplendent in their
evening dresses again treating
the audience to a very varied
programme including an amazing
rendition of I had a Dream from
‘Les Miserables’ .
An amazing £340 was raised which
will all be used for Gnosall Lions
approved good causes.
